So Tonights meta Connect Showcase came and went with a number of exciting announcements. Including Iron Man VR, Collaboration with major Tech Companies, the long awaited official unvailing of the Meta Quest Pro an Legs….

Collaboration with Microsoft and Youtube

Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella was on hand with Mark to announce a new partnership that will bring powerful work and productivity tools and features to Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 2 in 2023, including apps for Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams and the ability to join an MS Teams meeting from inside Meta Horizon Workrooms.

They also announced new social experiences they are developing in Meta Horizon Worlds on the web so you’ll be able to pick up your phone or laptop and visit and interact with friends who are hanging out in VR, and vice versa. They also announced new social innovations they are working on with the YouTube VR team. If you’re hanging out with friends in Horizon Homes, you’ll soon be able to watch YouTube videos together.

Meta Quest Pro

Meta Quest Pro is the first-ever device powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ platform, which is optimized for VR to run at 50% more power than Meta Quest 2 with better thermal dissipation, resulting in significantly better performance. Each Meta Quest Pro comes with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and 10 high-res sensors (five inside the headset and five outside) that help enhance a variety of immersive experiences.
